Juicy Chemistry Ylang Ylang & Lavender Daily Face Cleanser Review

All these years I have been more of a makeup person. With increasing age comes the need to focus on skin care. What fancies us more than products that are organic! During that hunt, I found a brand named “Juicy Chemistry.” It offers a line of skin care products using ingredients that are pure, natural, and organic. Juicy Chemistry’s claims attracted me to pick up few products, including this cleanser.

Shelf life: 6 months. As all natural ingredients are used, its shelf life is less. This is not an issue to me as I love experimenting new products.

Ingredients: Oatmeal, Organic Demerara Sugar, Organic Cane Sugar, Organic White Sugar, Wild Forest Honey, Olea europea (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E), Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil), Prunus dulcis (Almond Meal), Lavandula (Lavender), Cananga odorata (Ylang Ylang Essential Oil), Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender Essential Oil)

Product Description: Ylang Ylang & Lavender Daily Face Cleanser has an exfoliation base of almond meal and oatmeal and is infused with sensual lavender and luxurious ylang ylang. Wild forest honey is added to give your skin the much needed moisture kick. Impurities and dead skin are no match for this workhorse, which smoothens your skin surface, leaves it baby soft, and smells wonderful.

My Experience with Ylang Ylang & Lavender Daily Face Cleanser

Packaging: This cleanser comes in a plastic tub packaging. There is an inner lid that seals the product from hitting the cap. Thus, there are no fallouts when opening this cleanser. All product details are printed in the wraparound label. A wooden spatula and loofah are also provided.

Texture: This cleanser is a grainy powder with loads of fragrance. It smells like an edible product. Although the scents of essential oils are overpowering, I bet they will instantly lift up our mood. Moreover, the smell does not stay on our face. It has a paste-like consistency when mixed with water or facial mist (another good mixing agent). So it spreads easily on the skin. We need to tuck in all our baby hair to avoid sticking of its granules to them.

Performance: Ylang ylang has the ability to control sebum secretion and gives a healthy and glowing skin. It also helps regulate the production of oil in the skin and improves the absorption of moisture in the skin. Due to its moisturizing properties, it gets rid of wrinkles and fine lines. Lavender is very well known for its cleansing properties. It also contains powerful antioxidants that will prevent and counteract the irritating effects of pollutants on the skin. When there is a combination of both ylang ylang and lavender in a product, it is certainly bound to have all good properties—so is Juicy Chemistry’s Ylang Ylang & Lavender Daily Face Cleanser.

This cleanser truly delivers what it claims. It makes my skin clean, soft, and smooth. I could feel the infusion of essential oils making my skin hydrated and refreshing. Dry-skinned beauties will certainly love it. I could not really comment about its performance in minimizing breakouts and soothing inflamed skin as I have a clear normal skin. Seeing sugar mix in the ingredients list, I thought if this cleanser would be like a scrub, but that was not the case. The granules are not at all harsh on the skin. It can also be used as a mask by making it a thick paste with either water or milk per our skin type. Though it is mentioned to be rinsed with warm water, I use only normal water, and it works quite well. Initially, I feared if moisture in the washroom would spoil the product, but nothing like that happened. The wooden spatula picks up the exact amount of product needed. I am not using the loofah as it was cruel to my skin. For the price it comes, this product is truly competitive and delivers the best amidst all other organic products.
