Happy Tamil New Year!
L’Oréal Paris has put up an all-new unique and tempting range called “Extraordinary CLAY.” This is basically a clay-based range that has three products: a shampoo, a conditioner, and a scalp refresher. This range is quite unique as I have never heard any brand putting clay in their hair care products. I have already reviewed about their shampoo [READ HERE], and now let us know about their scalp refresher.

My Experience with L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary CLAY Express Scalp Refresher
Packaging: This scalp refresher comes in a beautiful turquoise-colored see-through bottle with a pointy screw-up cap. The actual product too comes in the same turquoise color. It has a long nozzle with a small dispenser hole. The product could be applied directly on to the scalp without any mess. Both the front and the back labels carry all the necessary information. Being sleek, sturdy, and leak-proof makes it absolutely travel friendly.
Texture: The texture of this scalp refresher is very light, thin, and runny. It just disappears into the scalp with few massages, and there will be absolutely no stickiness. It has a nice, citrusy, fresh fragrance. Moreover, the heavenly fragrance lingers on the hair for quite some time as well.
Performance: This scalp refresher is so unique as it contains pure clay and menthol. It is supposed to be used whenever the hair feels greasy. It should be applied directly on the scalp and massaged. The product claims to cool the scalp, refresh it, and reduce oiliness and greasiness. Yes, it would immediately give an icy-fresh sensation on the scalp. The cooling sensation does last for a longer time, giving a relaxing mood after a hot tiring day. Its fresh citrusy fragrance truly adds a refreshing feel to the scalp. Before diving into its third claim of “anti-scalp oiliness,” I would like to let all know of my hair type. I have very thin and silky hair and weak roots. I have oily scalp, and my thin hair will fall flat even if I sweat a little. I have never used dry shampoos for the fear that it might make my roots even weaker. So I was so excited to try this scalp refresher as I thought it would save me from frequent washing of my hair. But unfortunately it was a disappointment. This scalp refresher makes my hair and scalp wet, and it takes a longer time to dry down. So it cannot come as an immediate saver. Even after it dried down, I did not find any bouncy feel to my hair. Instead, it felt a little stiff. In terms of reducing oiliness and greasiness as well, it did not do anything significant. Overall, I am using it only to keep my scalp cool and fresh during this hot summer.
