Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Mauve Magic Review

Hello ladies,

Lakme has recently added lip crayons to their Enrich range. These lip crayons are available in a very affordable price. They come in 10 young and perky shades. This all-new formulated lip crayon is infused with mineral powders and has a rich blend of olive and jojoba oils. Although these lip crayons hit online platform long back, they are available only now in stores, especially in Chennai. After so much of waiting, I finally picked the shades Mauve Magic and Cinnamon Brown.

My Experience with Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon Mauve Magic

Packaging: This lip crayon comes in a simple black crayon packaging with a pull-cap black cap. However, it is wrapped around with a color-coded paper sticker to identify the shade. All the information, including the brand name, is printed only on the wraparound paper sticker. If the paper sticker tears off, then you cannot even identify it as a lip crayon from Lakme. It looks exactly like a coloring crayon. The cap closes well, and its sleek, small size makes it travel friendly. It is a sharpenable lip crayon, and it comes with its own dual sharpener. This packaging is just good enough for the price it comes for.

Sharpener: A dual sharpener comes free with every Enrich Lip Crayon. It is mentioned as introductory offer, so I am not sure if it will be discontinued. This dual sharpener also comes in black color, complementing the lip crayon. It is housed inside a sturdy outer cardboard packaging. It is specially designed to keep the lip crayon in shape for a flawless and even application. It contains a built-in cleaning stick with a smart holder that keeps the blades clean. It sharpens this lip crayon with utmost ease and is absolutely mess free.

Texture: The texture of this lip crayon is soft and creamy. It settles down to a comfortable satiny matte finish. It applies evenly and smoothly on the lips. It is decently pigmented and can hide all lip pigmentation. However, it needs a bit of layering to achieve full opaque coverage. Like their 9To5 Primer + Matte Lipsticks, these lip crayons have a pleasant vanilla scent.

Shade: “Mauve Magic” is a beautiful pink shade with purple undertones. It will work best across all Indian skin tones. It is not an overpowering color. It has a bit of shimmer in it. However, those shimmers do not show obviously on the lips. Moreover, they are finely milled and not gritty. There are 10 shades available in this range, and they are mostly pinks and corals, except for one nude brown. Thus, young college students can collect few of them and can be sorted.

Performance: This lip crayon is the most affordable and comfortable matte lipstick to wear. It does not feel drying on the lips. It goes smoothly on the lips. It is so lightweight and feels almost nothing on the lips. Initially, it is not drying, but you might feel some dryness after 3 hours. It does not cling on to dry patches or accentuate them. However, it does settle into fine lines. This lip crayon gives a satiny matte finish. It is not waxy and glides on easily without any tugging or pulling. Its pointy bullet makes it easy to precisely line and fill the lips with color. This shade provides that perfect pop of color, ideal for this summer. It will suit all Indian skin tones. It covers my pigmented lips in just 2 swipes. The staying power of this crayon lipstick is decent. It stayed on for about 5 hours and even survived meals, which I never expected from a lipstick of this price. However, its color intensity fades off and leaves behind a light pink stain on the lips. It is easily removable. It does not bleed or feather. It transfers minimally. I personally do not like sharpenable products as sharpening leads to product wastage. As usual, Lakme did not provide the ingredients list for this lip crayon as well. Overall, their comfortable wear and price makes them a collectible range.
