As we have already looked in detail about Plum Chamomile & White Tea Brighten-Up Face Scrub, which is one of their newly launched “Tan Busters,” let us today look into their “Chamomile & White Tea Glow-Getter Face Mask.” This face mask completes my use of the entire range of “Plum Chamomile & White Tea.” It is a clay mask specially formulated for dry, normal, and combination skin. It is a weekly face pack made with carefully selected natural clays, licorice, and willow bark. This set of face scrub and face mask is a time-tested, natural way to get over the tan and regain our original skin tone.

My Experience with Plum Chamomile & White Tea Glow-Getter Face Mask
Packaging: This face mask comes in a clear glass tub with a white lid. There is an inner lid that seals the product from hitting the cap. Thus, there are no leakage or messiness on the cap. Keeping with the theme of their “Chamomile & White Tea” range, this face mask also has orange lettering on white packaging. It is housed inside a similarly designed white cardboard box. All information, including the ingredients list, is printed on both the outer cardboard box and the actual product. As Plum products are available only online, packaging all their products inside a sturdy box makes sure that there is no damage to the product. This glass packaging is pretty heavy and needs cautious handling. It is not really travel friendly.
Texture: This face mask has a thick, creamy texture. It comes in white color with no particular smell to it. Plum have mislead by saying to apply a “thick” coat on the outer cardboard packaging and their official website and to apply a “thin” coat on the info slip provided inside the outer cardboard packaging. So, I tried both ways 😉 It is meant for dry, normal, and combination skin and not advised for sensitive, oily, and acne-prone skin. Another important point that Plum states is “with changing temperature and humidity, a slight amount of water separation can be expected from the clay mask, which is a natural phenomenon and does not impact the quality or performance of the mask in any way.”
Performance: This face mask is a weekly face pack made with carefully selected natural clays, licorice, and willow bark—the best of ingredients as the right combination of natural clays gives balanced cleansing, exfoliation, and skin softness without drying the skin; licorice root extract works to undo the darkening effect of the tan and helps provide an even skin tone; and willow bark extract is a brilliant natural exfoliator. This creamy clay face mask spreads smoothly on the skin. I just dip my mask brush into the tub and apply all over the face, taking care not to let the product enter the eyes. There will be a slight, non-bothersome tingling sensation on the skin for the first few minutes after application, which is entirely common as bentonite clay mask gets to work removing the grime and dead cells from the skin. It takes about 20–30 minutes for the mask to completely dry. It dries by cracking the mask rather than pulling the skin apart, which is absolutely amazing! This face mask washes off without any hassle. It is advised to be used only once in a week. I generally have a clear skin with no major pore, blackhead, or whitehead issues. So, this gentle face mask works well for me. It removes all dead skin, leaving behind a soft, smooth, clean, and refreshed skin. It did not dry out my skin. It indeed tightened my skin. However, I did not find any glow back on my face, which is the primary claim of this face mask. I find their Chamomile & White Tea Brighten-Up Face Scrub does this job much better. I am not sure if it is too early to decide as I have just used this face mask only thrice. Anyways, I completely enjoy using this face mask for its antioxidant-rich botanical extracts. Most importantly, it is free from parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, SLS, DEA, PABA, and animal-derived ingredients. Although it is little costly, its price is justifiable for its quality and quantity. Follow this face mask with Plum Chamomile & White Tea Sheer Matte Day Cream SPF 50 to seal in the good ingredients and prevent sun damage. Overall, it is a great detox clay face mask.
