New Launch: Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation Stick 330 Toffee Review, Swatches of All Shades, FOTD

Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation Stick 330 Toffee

Hello ladies,

There seem to be quite a bit of new launches from Maybelline. One of them is their Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation sticks. These are meant for combination skin. This foundation comes in an easy-to-use stick form. As I am hooked to their Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation and Fit Me Pressed Powder, I did not want to miss to try this new foundation stick. I have been using this one for quite some time now, thus it is time for me to share my opinion about this. Again, there are only limited shades available, and I picked the shade “330 Toffee.”

Product Description: Go shine-free without layering! Maybelline’s lightweight, gel stick foundation has an exclusive anti-shine powder core that instantly dissolves excess oil.

My Experience with Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation Stick 330 Toffee

Packaging: This foundation stick comes in a black plastic tube with a twist-up mechanism. It has a clear cap; however, the labeling stuck around it makes it look like a partially clear cap. The shade name is mentioned at the top as well as the bottom of the tube. Every time you twist up and down the foundation, the sides get a bit scrapped by the tube. I wonder how bad and messy it is going to be in the upcoming hot summer days. There seem to be no other information, including the ingredients list, mentioned on the packaging. For the price it comes for, the packaging could have been better.

Texture: The texture of this foundation is creamy with anti-shine powder core. It is meant for combination skin. It blends like a dream and gives a semi-matte powdery finish. It is so lightweight that you will feel nothing on the face.

Shade: “330 Toffee” is the darkest shade in this range and the only shade for dusky beauties. Although it does not have that yellow undertone as in Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation 330 Toffee Caramel, it fits me.

The following are the five shades available in this range. Do note that these shades are not perfect match to those shades present in “Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation” range. So be cautious in matching your shade.

110 Porcelain matches who are MAC NC 15 and 20

130 Buff Beige matches who are MAC NC 25 and 30

220 Natural Beige matches who are MAC NC 35 and 37

235 Pure Beige matches who are MAC NC 40–42

330 Toffee matches who are MAC NC 43.5–45

Performance: This foundation gives a sheer coverage. It can be build up, but it can only even out your skin and not cover any spots. However, even after applying layer after layer, this foundation does not feel heavy at all. I have pretty much clear skin with just discoloration. So for me, it works best for an everyday look. It evens out my skin beautifully and gives a natural, flawless finish. I apply this foundation directly to my skin and blend it with my fingers. It applies very smoothly and evenly. It pretty much feels like our second skin. Its anti-shine powder core gives a semi-matte powdery finish. However, it does not eradicate or control the shine for long. Topping it with a powder is a must. So this foundation may not work for oily-skinned people. The staying power is pretty decent for a light-coverage foundation. My T zone had a bit of shine within an hour of application when used on its own. However, with powder, it lasted for around 5 hours. A quick touch-up will make it last for daylong. It is a great everyday foundation. Some may wonder while a BB or CC cream will give a sheer coverage, why we would need this foundation. I too agree to this point if you have fair to medium skin tones, because none of BB or CC creams in Indian drugstore market matches duskier or dark skin tones. So it is time to get rid of that ghostly look for that casual daily look. Also it does not require a beauty blender or a brush to blend it seamlessly. Overall, this foundation truly Fits Me!

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation Stick 330 Toffee

If any shade fits you, go for it as it is an easy-to-use everyday foundation. I will certainly be repurchasing this foundation as it is quite hard to find an affordable drugstore foundation that matches your skin tone and will transform your look in just a matter of few minutes.
