New Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara Royal Blue Review, EOTD

Hello ladies,

I am someone who loves to add some pop of color to my eye makeup. Not that I always wear eye shadows but colored eye liners. When there was a way to add color to the eyelashes, no wonder I wanted to try it. Yeah, following their New Eyeconic 22 Hr Kajal, Lakme has recently launched a blue-colored mascara in their Eyeconic range. So far colored mascaras were available only in high-end makeup in India, and now finally, a colored mascara in an affordable price by Lakme.

Price: INR 350 for 9 ml [BUY HERE: Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara, Blue, 9ml]

Shelf Life: 2 years

Ingredients: Not listed

Product Description: A stroke of spunky royalty to your lashes is now a possibility with the intense royal blue mascara by Lakme. It comes with a smart curl brush that promotes easy application and is smudge proof as well as waterproof by nature.

My Experience with New Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara Royal Blue

Packaging: This mascara comes in a glossy black curved cylindrical tube with a screw-up cap. The prints in teal and white against the completely black packaging look classy. It is quite sturdy and travel friendly. It is housed inside an outer paperboard carton, which also comes in teal and black colors. The shade name and shelf life are mentioned at the base of the mascara tube in a color-coded sticker. It has a curvy wand with thin bristles.

Texture: The texture of this mascara is creamy. It has quite a decent pigmentation. It glides on effortlessly without any tugging or pulling. However, it does not deposit color at roots of the eyelashes. It dries pretty fast.

Shade: This mascara is so true to its name. It is definitely a royal blue shade. Although an intense color, it is a very wearable blue. It really adds a pop of color to the eyelashes.

Performance: This mascara adds a beautiful blue color to the eyelashes. The color is so visible even on dark eyelashes. However, it does take some time to coat properly the color on to the lashes. It dries up pretty fast so I find it difficult to apply a second coat—though not really necessary. As the name suggests, this mascara gives a curly effect to the eyelashes but not so like the effect achieved through an eyelash curler. However, it does hold very well the curl created with an eyelash curler. It definitely gives the eyelashes a lift and opens up the eyes. The color instantly brightens up the eyes. It does not add volume to the lashes but does add some length to them. This mascara is truly smudge proof but not waterproof, making it ideal for daily use. It does not cluster the eyelashes. The wand’s thin and even bristles beautifully separate each lash and give fuller, defined eyes. The bristles are so convenient to use on the lower lashes as well. Also they do not mess up the area around the lower lash line. This mascara has a good staying power. It lasted around 5–6 hours. A good massage with a cleanser is enough to remove this mascara. Overall, I am in love with this blue mascara.
