Chambor Gel Effect Nail Lacquer 350 Review, Swatches, NOTD

Hello ladies,

For me every makeup purchase had to end with at least one nail paint. This time I ended up with the newly launched Chambor Gel Effect nail lacquers. They are a collection of 50 nail lacquers that give a gel nails effect. They are customized not only for the festive season but also for casual wear. I bought the shade “350”; yeah, as usual Chambor has just numbered these nail lacquers. With 50 impressive shades in line, you are sure to find a favorite.

Price: INR 325 for 10 ml

Shelf Life: 36 months

Product Description: A high-gloss nail polish that mimics the plumping effects of a gel manicure. Its precision brush gives a smooth application, vibrant color intensity, and a perfect finish in a single sweep. Shake before each application. Do not expose to heat or flame.

My Experience with Chambor Gel Effect Nail Lacquer 350

Packaging: This nail paint comes in a beautifully shaped glass bottle. The handle comes in the usual Chambor blue color with silver detailing. It has a medium-sized, thin handle, giving a good hold to paint the nails. The brush is thick and dense and applies the nail paint evenly. Though the packaging looks simple, it has a classy feel. It is indeed sturdy and travel friendly. Its navy blue-colored paper carton carries all the necessary information, including the ingredients list.

Texture: The texture of this nail paint is thin but not runny. It applies smoothly, and the darker shades give an opaque finish in a single swipe. It has a subtle, muted sheen to it but vanishes in a day itself, making its claim of high-gloss finish a false one. I quite like the formula. However, pastel colors should have better pigmentation.

Shade: “350” is a beautiful nude brown, ideal for Indian skin tone. It is indeed a unique shade in my nail paint collection. It adds a lot of feminism to the nails. It gives a sophisticated look. Although it delivers one-stroke coverage, two coats give that perfectly manicured nails look with high-gloss finish.

Below are swatches of some shades:

“155” is a beautiful coral shade

“207” is a pretty raspberry shade

“407” is a light green shade [pastel shades apply very sheer, and some shades need 2–3 coats]

“402” is a sky blue shade

Performance: This nail paint is perfect for casual and festive wear. It does not apply streaky and dry pretty fast. The best part is that there will be no bed sheet marks with this nail paint on. Its glossy and gel-like finish prettifies our nails instantly. If nails are painted with two coats, this nail paint stays well for 5–6 days with no fading or chipping. However, the staying power is less if only one coat is applied. Although there will be no color fading, the sheen vanishes the next day itself, which is very disappointing. It is very easy to remove and absolutely gives no discoloration to the nails (with Kara Nail Polish Remover Wipes, you need just one wipe to remove the nail paint from all the nails). No base or top coat is required. Overall, an easy-to-use, long-wear, sophisticated nail paint.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Chambor Gel Effect Nail Lacquer 350

Give a try if you are an ardent nail paint lover. I picked it for the shade, and I am quite happy for it. However, I find there are so many better nail paints in this or below this price range.
