Indian women have most beautiful eyes, and they make them even more beautiful and expressive with the use of their kajal. No wonder I am one of them, and I love my perfectly kohled eyes. I consider makeup is incomplete without the use of a kajal. Colored kajals are my favorite, and blue has always been my priority. When Colorbar added a deeper blue named “Just Electra” to their most famous “Just Smoky Kajal” range, I wanted to give it a try.

This velvety and super intense smoky kajal comes with a perfect smudge-tip applicator for blending and creating dramatic smoky eyes. It is a waterproof eye pencil that stays up to 12 hours. It can be used as kajal, eyeliner, and eye shadow. It has intense and excellent color payoff. It is ophthalmologically and dermatologically tested.
My Experience with Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal—Just Electra 007
Packaging: It is a dual-ended kajal with one end having the eye pencil and the other end having the sponge smudger. Both the ends are secured with a pull-up cap. This stunning, matte-coated, sleek pencil comes in the same color as the color of the pencil, making it easier to locate. It is a sharpenable pencil, and I personally do not like this form. As other Colorbar products, this pencil also comes in their typical silver paper box. All the necessary information, including the ingredients list, is printed on it.
Texture: This pencil is insanely pigmented and super creamy. It feels very soft while applying. Because of its extremely creamy texture, the tip of the pencil goes blunt quickly and also tends to break very easily. The smudger that is attached at the end of the pencil is so hard and completely useless.
Color: As the name suggests, “Just Electra” is not an electric blue color but a deeper, more wearable blue. There are beautiful purple shimmers and undertone to this blue, making this a unique color. The intensity of the color can be build up to get an intense, bolder look.
Performance: This kajal is so smooth and glides on like a dream, no tugging or pulling. It feels very soft when applied. The color payoff is extremely good on both upper and lower lash lines. One stroke is quite enough, but two or more strokes will provide that super intense look. However, you need to build up the liner very quickly, else it will flake. The tip being so creamy gets blunt quickly. Mine was even worse, it broke! As it is a sharpenable pencil, which I totally hate, it needs to be sharpened each time to get that prefect pointed tip. This leads to a lot of product wastage. It has an incredible staying power. It does not move nor smudge at all. The best part is that the glitters too do not move.
Although the glitters do not move, I would suggest you not to use this glittery kajal on your waterline if you have sensitive eyes. Moreover, it is quite hard to remove. A proper eye makeup remover is a must! Though the kajal stays on for more than 8 hours, the intensity of its color fades off within 3 hours. It works best as an eyeliner and a kajal.
As claimed, it is not an ideal product to be used as an eye shadow. This kajal is not the easiest to blend. It sets within seconds, making it quite hard to blend it. The worst part is that once it sets and then if we try to blend it, it comes off in flakes. There were loads of fallouts as well. It is impossible to correct any mistakes if it sets. Overall, I bought this kajal for its color, so no regrets!

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Colorbar Just Smoky Kajal—Just Electra 007
I would recommend this kajal if you are looking for a long-staying kajal or eyeliner but not if you are looking for an eye shadow. Kajal is a staple cosmetic for me, and I keep buying every new launch under this category; thus, I will not repurchase this kajal.
